Rice Crispy Treats

Materials Needed for the Project:
* 1/4 Cup Stick Butter
* 6 Cups Rice Crispy Cereal
* 40 Large Marshmallows
* Cooking Spray
* Electric Skillet
* Pans
* Wooden Spoons, Knife, Spatula, Measuring Cups

Put the 40 marshmallows and 1/4 Cup butter into the electric skillet set to 300 degrees. Withe the wooden spoon, continually stir the mixture until it is completely melted. Be sure to stir constantly as the marshmallows will burn if they stay in the same place too long.
While the marshmallows are melting, measure out the six cups of cereal and spray your pan with cooking spray. When the marshmallows are melted, add the cereal and coat it all well. Work quickly, as the marshmallows get sticky as they cool. Transfer it to the greased pan and spread out with the spatula.Let them cool for about ten minutes and cut with the knife. Left over treats should be stored in the refrigerator. |
