An Alphabet Poem is a poem in which the first line starts with a certain letter of the alphabet, and each successive line starts with the next letter in alphabetical order. The poem has no limits on the amount of words on each line, but it must tell some type of story or have some theme that makes sense. Some people like to have a 26 line poem by incorporating all of the letters of the alphabet. However, this can be fairly difficult. It is probably best to try to aim for a 6 line poem. Here is an example:
D o you think that
E very dog is able to
F ind their way home when they
G et lost? We dropped our dog off in the middle of the woods, 5 miles away.
H e eventually got home, but
I t was because someone found him and took him to the address on his tag.
