A diamente is a seven line poem that is shaped like a diamond.
Line 1 contains one word. It must be a noun as it is the subject of the poem.
Line 2 contains two adjectives that describe the subject
Line 3 contains three (-ing) words related to the subject
Line 4 contains four long words (of any type), related to the subject.
Line 5 contains three (-ing) words related to the subject
Line 6 contains two adjectives that describe the subject
Line 7 contains one word. It should be a synonym for the subject.
While it is important to follow the format for each line, it is equally important that your poem resembles a diamond. Changing words may be necessary to acheive this effect. Here is an example.
